PrtScr is a freeware, great minimalist screen capture tool for windows all versions. It does very petty nice job. I have been using the Microsoft’s own Snipping Tool, Snipping tools fails to capture overlay windows. 
PrtScr features

• Custom hotkey, CTRL + Prt Scr
• Capture full screen, rectangle selection, Freehand selection or active window
• Can capture mouse cursors
• supports multiple monitors
• Allows annotation over capture, with smooth, natural mouse drawing.
